World’s largest tasting fair for consumers
Not only the number of exhibition ships, stalls and wines has increased over the last decades, but also the variety of wine types and wine countries present on board. The increasing market opening, the generational change within Swiss production and the growing mobility of consumers have fundamentally changed supply and demand.
The range shown by trade and production on the wine ships reflects this development. New varieties, daring experiments “modern” styles and unknown provenances have complemented the hitherto traditional wine palette since the beginning of the 80s. The prelude is overseas. This is followed by plants from Southeastern Europe and Asia. Since the beginning of the 21st century, almost all the wine world has gathered at EXPOVINA. At the heart of it – as it was 60 years ago – is still Swiss wine.
